the research and quality centre serves as aalborg portland's international centre for research, technical support and testing within aggregates, cement and concrete. our technical consultants make the expertise and laboratories of the research and quality centre available to customers.

aalborg portland's parent company, cementir holding, has chosen to strengthen its organisation by establishing a single organisation for r&d, quality and technical sales support. the management of this is placed at the research and quality centre in aalborg but comprise also regional r&d and quality centres in spoleto, italy and izmir, turkey.

the research and quality centre staff includes civil engineers, chemical engineers, chemists, geologists and technicians. it has advanced testing equipment and is situated close to the aalborg cement plant, facilitating close collaboration with both sales and production.
